The Venue Manager at Nozawa Onsen Distillery will oversee all daily operations of the distillery's bar, tastings and event space, ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This role involves working under the Stay Nozawa and Nozawa Onsen Distillery groups leading a team, coordinating events, managing inventory, and driving sales while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate is passionate about spirits, skilled in hospitality management, and enjoys working in a dynamic environment. This position offers the opportunity to grow within a unique distillery located in the picturesque village of Nozawa Onsen.
General duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the distillery’s tasting room, bar, distillery tours and event spaces, ensuring a smooth and efficient service.
- Customer Experience: Deliver a consistently excellent guest experience, from welcoming guests to guiding them through tastings and educating them about our spirits.
- Team Leadership: Assist with recruitment, train, and manage a team of staff, fostering a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Administrative: Maintaining labor and expense costs against provided budget, rostering staff efficiently
- Event Coordination: Plan and execute special events such as private tours, tastings, and corporate gatherings, ensuring all details are meticulously handled.
- Sales & Inventory Management: Monitor inventory, sales, and revenue targets, ensuring accurate reporting and optimal stock levels of products.
- Marketing & Community Engagement: Work closely with our marketing team to promote the distillery’s offerings, partner with local businesses, and engage with the community to enhance our brand presence.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations are strictly adhered to.
- Collaborate and communicate: Work closely with Stay Nozawa venues to deliver high quality service and products in the bar space.
