As a member of the kitchen team the role requires strong communication skills, ability to work well under instruction and be a part of a small team.
General duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Washes, stacks, sorts, and stores dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware.
- Maintains a clean kitchen work area and keeping the dish area organized and free of clutter.
- Set up dish stations, including dishwashing machines and sinks.
- Maintain clean, dry floors throughout the shift.
- Clean and sanitize storage areas, including freezers and refrigerators.
- Assist in storing food deliveries.
- Monitor trash cans throughout shift, making sure to remove full trash can and dispose of rubbish in the correct sorting system
- Maintain the cleanliness of dry storage areas and the organization of storage shelves.
- Assist in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the chef and other managers as needed.
- Follow sanitation and cleaning procedures.
- Ensure that dishwashers are in working order and report problems as they arise.
- Assist with closing, including aiding in the sanitation of cooking and food preparation stations.
- Ability to work in a small team in a fast paced environment take direction and work under pressure
- Upholding a professional attitude in the kitchen
Previous experience work in kitchen advantageous
